Vale Ric Wallis

It is with great sadness that we report the recent passing of Ric Wallis, renowned photographer and enthusiastic LFS pilot.  Ric had learnt to fly with us in the 1990s, acquired a Cessna 150 and flew thousands of hours around Australia.

One of his favourite pastimes was to open the window in flight and snap away at whatever spectacular view caught his eye.  In recent years he led dozens of "Photoescapades" for small photography groups into the Australian outback and Tasmanian islands.  Ric was a larger than life character, bursting with passion and enthusiasm and a photography teacher with no equal. We'll miss you.
